Ownership over my name

I decided to randomly google my name "Llorene" to see if there are actually people out there who may have the same name. I was very surprised to see that there are other Llorenes out there. Now I'm wondering whether or not they pronounce it the same way.

Llorene --> should be pronounced, for me anyway, as "Lo-reen" and not as "Lauren" or even "Lo-re-ne". I have to apologize for this blabbing, as it is a bit of a pet peeve of mine-- people not being able to pronounce my name after I have told them countless times.

What's with the double L one may wonder- I haven't got a good explanation for it. It's just how my parents decided to name me. And now to think about it- my name would look naked without the extra L. Believe it or not, one of the guys from the Barenaked Ladies actually commented on the fact that I seemed to have an excess of Ls in my name. (True story- when I used to work at Chapters).

Is there anyway I can copyright my name and have full ownership of it? Because although having a popular name is pretty cool (one of the perks being that you can easily find a personalized pen, or some sort of magnet with your name on it- not Llorene though- the closest would either be Lawrence or Lauren- *sigh*), having an original name is even better. And for the few people out there who do have a name Llorene- I would like to meet you.

But for right now- I own my name.

I'm blogging!

After months of reading through other people's blogs- I've decided to create my own blog. Why? No, it's not just because I want to fit in (!) , it's because I thought- well I'll start a blog when I have something to write about- such as my experiences abroad either through AIESEC or on my exchange. But then after much deliberation- I've realized that I have a lot to say :) And so this blog will serve as my outlet. An outlet for my venting and my random and pointless stories-- which may serve to be entertaining for a lot of people.

12 hours after my last exam of the semester- I've created a blog.

And so it begins...
